Looking Past Reflecting Glass

 
when i gaze into a mirror
i fail to recognize 
who is looking back

i image myself as someone more
Conan the Barbarian, Han Solo, 
      Napoleon Dynamite

in a facet of mind
i conjure 
a dream

how often do i see
some stranger leering
through the mirror
